While Al Gore was inventing the Internet, Larry was studying business management and micro-computers.

All went on the become president of the United States for a little while. Larry became a web developer, and later a search engine optimization expert and marketing consultant. The two of them have not crossed paths again - symbolically or otherwise. 

Al's incredible contribution to Larry's career hasn't gone unnoticed. Larry mentions it every chance he gets.
